Lied? No. Propagated a theory or rumor as fact? Absolutely. It's been the house special the last week.
Just stop!! There is no way a new AD trying to make a spalsh hire would have any need, or DESIRE, to keep a failing coach from a failing staff on as part of a "splash deal". Just everyone stop regurgitating this crap with no back up proof.
I might normally agree. But have a hard time believing no one is coaching or speaking to him about staring down receivers. He just keeps doing the same thing. It looked like someone on the sideline told him " That's what you get" on the last Int.
O I obviously can’t says he’s been we’ll coached, but at this level, should a QB really have to be told to throw the ball away instead of taking coverage sack, or running for a loss? Is poor coaching causing him to lock on to himself primary receiver and never see the other guy still running wide open? Maybe, in part, but even a mediocre qb knows these basic things. Franks has all the physical talent, but his football iq doesn’t match it.
Right. Because the freshman QB should just come to UF with the mind of Peyton Manning. He should be able to develop himself mentally, he should be able to get us out of these terrible, predictable play-calls, and he should be able to fix all that is wrong with this offense. If Franks transfer, we'll end up looking stupid yet again. We drove away Brissett, Driskel, and Grier. Each time, we ended up with egg on our face.
Yes, these are all byproducts of the bad coaching. That's exactly what people said about Jared Goff last year. With Sean McVay, he's manipulating coverage with his eyes like the stud he is. QBs do that when they don't trust what they're reading. It's a confidence issue.
Not sure what your angle here is other than to bash UF. McElwain was shown the door for cause, good cause. If he hadn’t stuck his foot in his mouth, he would’ve pocketed a lot more of our $$ either in salary or buyout. But he was foolish and because he wasn’t holding up his end of the bargain, he was let go. Have you been watching the disaster that is our FB Team? The Coach is 100% responsible for the product on the field. How about, we’ll give you a FB only facility, you give us an Offensive Coordinator? Or, we built an IPF, can someone actually coach special teams? It’s a 2-Way Street.
He’s a redshirt freshman, so he’s now had two full seasons in the system. Again, I’m not expecting miracles from him, but he makes terrible decisions and processes things wayyyyy too slowly.
Look there are freshman Qb's that look light years ahead of Franks. Deondra Francois last year. I am not trying to get an argument with you, but I see a QB that should be a back up and not a starter. He has thrown the ball where he shouldn't today which has cost us the game. Maybe he can develop down the road, but I see some major issues with Franks.
