it's not that it was questioned. it was how it was questioned. it was insinuated that they were just making things up which if you pay attention they were pretty accurate. disagree but these guys had nothing to gain for just making crap up and to have the same idiots constantly question their motives is tiring.
What is this “more control” being continuously discussed? It’s collge, not the NFL, so there’s isn’t a GM picking and signing your players. Unless I’m mistaken, coaches don’t determine admission requirements, so he doesn’t get say over that anywhere. If we wouldn’t let him hire his own staff, that’s absolutelt asinine on UF’s part. Facilities? That’s not control in my book, but if we committed so much infrastructure to what Mac wanted, I can’t imagine what we would balk at Kelly’s requests. Money is tangible, I understand a bidding war, but what kind of control does he want, that other coaches dont have?
Whats with the quick round trip from Ocala to Teterboro this morning. Scheduled to land just before noon. http://flightaware.com/live/flight/N560LD/history/20171125/1400Z/KTEB/KOCF
UF be like: After 2010 season: don’t worry we will be fine, we have the money to get another big name hire After 2013 season:don’t worry we will be fine, we have the money to get whom ever we want During 2017: don’t worry, we canned McTeeth and got him out early with a head start over other programs, we also have the money to land the big fish this time. UCLA be like we only need 3 days, hold my beer
Ok let’s just go stomp FSU in the mud. Scotty better be pulling a rabbit(killer coach) outta his hat fast. Real fast.
Imo, with the type of offense Frost runs, Florida has exactly the athletes he needs to be really successful. My brother is a Wisconsin alum and they don't usually recruit these type of athletes but they get guys that fit their system. Big Midwest o and d-linemen, a great rb and guys that develop over 2-3 years. That is how they have built success and that's the type of model Nebraska needs if they want to win big again. Very difficult to get top 100 Florida athletes to go play in Nebraska or Wisconsin, but at Florida, Frost will have an endless supply. In the end Frost may go to Nebraska, but I think he needs to seriously consider this.
My homer vision can thinks it makes sense for Frost to come to UF. And years later to go home and coach Nebraska
at some point people need to learn how to be skeptical. IMO anyways. This approach of non-stop optimism accomplishes what? Believing everything posted in this thread as fact accomplished what exactly? Some of the most upset people in here the last 24 hours have been the super optimists, part of that reason is because the super optimists (aka 90% of GC) get their hopes up so high that when they are dashed it sets them off. And the reality is also that it really does not matter how someone like myself says something. I've seen a few other skeptical people post their doubts in a calm manner only to have half this forum crying about how mean they are and how they ruin the thread and you have old time dudes like graygator say he wont post in here because of us meanie head pessimists who refuse to believe every turd slung at the wall hoping to stick. And here I thought I thought /r/floridagators on reddit was bad in regards to how sensitive they are to any opposing points of view
UCLA finished their 6-6 season last night with a win over Cal. Florida finishes their 5-6 season with a win (I hope) over the Noles. Chip Kelly skips his ESPN show to ponder his decision as to where his future lies. This insane circus is coming down to the wire. My question is this: Do we have to wait until after the AAC championship game to sign Scott Frost? That is ,of course, if CK passes on us. Anybody know?
