Allen doesnt have to be THE GUY this year like he has had to in previous years. He still seems to score when he wants to. I think you will see him come up big when we need him.
At first I thought they meant Alec Baldwin's brother. Then I remembered that Beau is Jeff Bridges's brother, not Alec's.
As I drifted off to sleep last night these words came to mind and I think it fits this thread well: Ah we can dance if we want to, we can leave your friends behind Cause your friends don't dance and if they don't dance Well they're are no friends of mine I say, we can go where we want to, a place where they will never find And we can act like we come from out of this world Leave the real one far behind, And we can dance Ah we can go when we want to the night is young and so am i And we can dress real neat from our hats to our feet And surprise 'em with the victory cry I say we can act if want to if we don't nobody will And you can act real rude and totally removed And i can act like an imbecile I say we can dance, we can dance everything out control We can dance, we can dance we're doing it wall to wall We can dance, we can dance everybody look at your hands We can dance, we can dance everybody takin' the chance
Agreed sir. How many of the 90K+ do you think actually live in Gainesville? I live in Orlando. There is nothing here that is going to "distract" me from seeing my Gators. People drive, fly, boat, crawl, paddle, jump and swim to Gainesville on Saturdays in the fall to watch their Gators. Is a cultural thing, and it has had nothing to do with the success of the program. I recall pretty clearly the stadium being packed, with students on top of apartments across the street from the north endzone watching the games in the 80's when we sucked. There just isnt a fan following here for UCF, at least not on a level that would pack 40K in the stadium every home weekend.
I'm in. This just looks from the outside like a really hard fought negotiation with an arrogant SOB that multiple suitors are after.
Here’s the problem with comparing those who posted what they were hearing from their sources, and those who were speculating to the opposite of that. One was basing their posts on information,no matter what you think of the reliability of that information. I didn’t see any of them making guarantees, just telling what they were hearing. Those posting opposite opinions, had no actual information to base that on, at least not until the last few days. It was pure speculation, based on unverified media opinions, at best. In the end, we still don’t know. The “insider information” may have been dead on accurate when shared, and then the situation changed.
It just feels like Kelly was toying with the idea of getting back into coaching but perhaps has changed his mind and decided to stay with ESPN. I can’t imagine he would turn down both UF and UCLA hoping something better is going to come along. I hope we get the full story at some point.
