IF Kelly signed a contract or agreement in principle with UF, then came back to renegotiate it or backed out, good luck to his agents trying to negotiate future deals just about anywhere. Yes, as said earlier, negotiating an offer is clearly the norm, but not after accepting it. If I ever negotiated a contract with an employee, we agreed on the terms, and he/she signed the offer, then called a couple days later asking for more, I’d tell them to pound sand.
Looks like we wait another week to talk to Frost. Wonder how the recruiting class will be by then...or by when we start talking to Mullen and strong.
Sure, you absolutely can, but it’s going to make a lot of people think twice before hiring you down the road. And I was thinking more of his agent’s other clients, who aren’t so in demand, but are still trying to get hired somewhere. Potential employers may not want anything to with them or their clients after pulling a stunt like this, (again, if what is being suggested is true)
HE PLAYED TO WIN!!! What a concept. He didn't play to run out the clock. Huge nads to call pass plays when most would have tried to run the clock.
No need to wonder. I can tell you how it's going to be. The same way I predicted it would be when the rumors came out that we were canning Mac. IMPLODED!
Yea, I've never understood why fans think a 49-42 game is some masterpiece when compared to a 24-21 game. IMO, a 24-21 game between two teams executing well is much more entertaining for me, as a football junkie, than a 49-42 game where nobody plays defense. The UCF-USF was a great game. It was very entertaining. But there was so much bad defensive play in that game.
If UF is in fact using Frost as Plan B, this forces Chip's hand. The deadline for his decision is this weekend. Now, there's no telling what Frost will do, and UF won't approach Frost until after the Championship game. In the end, a UCF win brings clarity to our coaching search as it pertains to Chip Kelly.
UCF was 0-12 two years ago yet you’re finding some faults in an 11-0 team. First time in history a team goes from winless to undefeated in 2 seasons. Yeah, I’d be happy with Frost.
So, how does this proceed ? Are we now allowed to talk to Frost or is that delayed until post UCF championship game and/or post season games?
i think The only people remembering that he played both sides will be us butthurt uf fans. He’ll be regarded as having maximized his value everywhere else rather than a contract slug, be within a week, everyone will forget that he was even considering uf and instead talking about how UCLA will become the Alabama of the West Coast.
