So is this where Florida fans embarrass themselves? We spent 1000 pages obsessing over Chip Kelly and now that Stricklin was incapable of closing the deal and Chip had a better option at UCLA NOW we're going to play that "screw kelly" game? That "we never wanted him" game? The "Frost was better anyways!" game? Dont get upset when the media and rivals laugh at you. Because if you say any of that you deserve to be laughed at
What's funny is Kelly wasn't even in my top 3, but now I'd be devastated if we don't get him. If we do get him then this is just a masterful display of media relations and human psychology by SS.
There are always a litany of issues when you get rid of a coach. If you hire the right guy, those issues disappear quickly.
Hope the title is correct and remains correct. I'll be ok with Kelly or Frost, but I don't see any great options beyond those two. Losing out to UCLA for Kelly would not be a good look, but I'm more worried about losing Frost to Neb if Kelly is no longer an option. I didn't think UCLA's chances were great, but I'm more worried about Neb's chances to get Frost.
Time to move on from Chip Kelly. We tried. It's over. Time to focus on Frost, Norvell, Leach, Gundy, Cambell or a few others.
would have given anything to go to one of nirvana's concerts but i was just a little too young during his time.
@Welshgator man, @seaofred92 has been a great poster on this board, I know that there's some frustrations right now but he's as welcome here as anyone else...
Per espn: Florida officials are scheduled to meet with UCF coach Scott Frost's representatives in Orlando this weekend as the Gators are preparing to move on in case former Oregon coach Chip Kelly chooses the UCLA job, sources told ESPN's Mark Schlabach and Edward Aschoff. Sources said that Kelly has not informed the Gators of a decision, but Florida officials feel their chances of landing the current ESPN analyst have diminished since meeting with him at his home in New Hampshire last Sunday. Kelly met with UCLA officials in Los Angeles on Tuesday and is expected to make a decision between Florida and UCLA in the coming days. Frost is in his second season at UCF, ranked No. 15 in the most recent College Football Playoff rankings. Other candidates who might be considered for Florida's opening include Mississippi State's Dan Mullen, West Virginia's Dana Holgorsen, Washington State's Mike Leach and Oregon's Willie Taggart. I would be intrigued by these coaches (minus Dana).
Nah. We're going to play the, "Screw Kelly for fucking with us" game. You don't seem like much of a UF fan either ways.
