If our choice is between Strong or Mullen. I'd probably rather go back and time and not fire McElwain.
Told you all Tebow was trying to let us down easy this morning. Why else would he mention multiple times that a contract was not offered. Soften the blow of rejection if you read between the lines. Now let's go get someone who wants to be here and get the program back on track.
Maybe that's the draw. Football is truly a religion in the South. It appears to have driven Spurrier and Meyer, our two most successful coaches, out and into another job. Perhaps that's what Meyer told Kelly, and that's what made Kelly decide a low key lifestyle in LA where there are two NFL teams, and USC is a better fit. Hopefully this is just another downturn in the rollercoaster...and we'll safely end up where we need to be. I'll be watching the thread title carefully until an announcement is made.
I had a Gator shirt on yesterday and stopped at a Kangaroo Station in Ocala on my way to visit family and the clerk behind the counter said "psssst, I have a source that says Florida got Chip Kelly". I've come to the conclusion that I'm the only person in the world that doesn't have "a source".
Looks like I got here just in time. A Thousand pages and twenty thousand posts. WOW! My son is a member of a private Gator message board. By invitation only. He says they are near 500 pages on the same topic and they don't have a clue if Kelly has signed the deal.
Chris Landry@LandryFootball From inside the COACHING business, it sure is sounding like CHIP KELLY is leaning towards UCLA & FLORIDA feels so as well---UF could be turning towards UCF HC SCOTT FROST if they get NO from CHIP....
Btw, if Kelly chooses UCLA , he chooses the easy path which means we're better off without him. Gotta have a guy that is all in. We saw what you get with half a coach in Meyer's last season.
Strong would be about the same as Chump except we would probably never get to 11 wins in one of his seasons here.
I’m holding out that this continues to be a smokescreen until I hear UCLA announce tomorrow. Maybe I’m naive but that’s where I am.
