This is Stricklin's first hire, he understands that he has a lot to prove. If he does not get Kelly or Frost, it is because he could not get them no matter what he would do.

 

Eh, it’s mostly gator nation that led anybody on to believe we had Chip. Sorry but look at where people’s “inside sources” got us, with phrases like “the ink is dry” and “done deal” with absolutely no justification behind it. Stricklin and UF don’t have to reveal their every move to the public.

And, of the names mentioned, I can't think of anyone I'd be more disappointed with than Dan Mullen. I do think he could do better than what we had, but I don't think he'd ever get to the playoffs. It'd feel like someone found the world's biggest jerk, married is DNA to Mark Richt's, and then we hired the outcome to be coach here.

IF UF misses on Kelly and can then land Frost, I believe the fanbase will rally behind Frost. And if Kelly is at UCLA, he'll be mostly out of sight and mind. It won't be like he's at UTk.

He'd be an upgrade to Mac, but not sure about killing it. He'd need to pull a QB out of nowhere, though. We definitely don't have a guy to trigger his system.

 

He's just a nice guy and was complimenting the thread achievement.

He's also pretty tight-lipped, but nobody seemed to even notice they were in the presence of greatness, so I thought I'd just highlight it.

 

Bingo! I agree bad to respectable means winning the ones you should and losing most toss ups and losing almost all you should. Bad prior to a coaches arrival could be simply related to the previous coaches. S Croom reset the bar pretty low at MSU just like D Dooley at Tenn.
