I wouldn't as he has an OC now that just slings the ball and ignores the good RB they have a lot. Playing that mess even more than his teams usually do.
Darren Heitner @DarrenHeitner Replying to @jwhite3175 It’s just quiet as it nears its destination, as expected.
This is the kind of stuff that makes me think the UAA understands how critical this is, and how they have to do everything possible to close this. This was an extremely risky move by going after the whale and risking it leaking to the fanbase. Well, it did, and now they have to deal with the outcome either way.
Yeah, I know about that. There just a huge drop off after Kelly and Frost. After them its just guys. If we dont get Kelly or Frost I'd almost be willing to sit tight with Shannon for 1 year and try to get Fuente or Fleck or someone next year. As opposed to signing on with someone for another 3 years that you know isnt going to get you to the promised land.
But how would you tell Shannon that you would like him to stay on for a year till we can find someone who's good?
What bothers me is that the gator insiders haven't had anything new to report from their sources for days now. Just the same old radio silence and passive waiting. The same old "we're confident" message with no reasons why. This while UCLA's sources are going off the charts claiming he's theirs. Someone is wrong. Is the gator insiders data stale? Or is UCLA blowing smoke? Guess we'll find out soon.
And thinking about this fact, here's another question. Maybe, UCLA has never really been in it, and therefor doesn't need to be told? Who knows.
The announcer said that UCLA presented such an impressive offer to Urbz that if Ohio State wasn’t an option he would’ve taken the UCLA job
Id just offer him a 1 year contract. I doubt he has many other options that dont include the unemployment line. I know thats not a practical solution to this. There are very few Meyer's and Saban's in this world. Kelly is close and Frost could be. After that its retreads.
Chip isn't as concerned about money as he is about control of the program, assistants, etc. Also, UCLA has a huge buyout for Mora and there's no way that UF wouldn't be able to easily match what they are offering.
