Just wondering, are you an alum? Personally, I love how UF recently made huge strides in their academic reputation. After 30+ years of languishing around #50 on the USNWR rankings, UF recently moved up to #42. In addition, UF finally moved into the Top 10 in the USNWR Public University Rankings for the first time. Alums, like me, rely on our alma mater's academic reputation for our careers. All the other stuff related to athletics is really largely irrelevant in our day-to-day success. I care far more how well Fuchs performs in his duties than how Stricklin or the UAA performs in theirs.
Yeah I kinda figured it was only a matter of time until we started hearing the whole “Chip Kelly doesn’t like black people” thing again.
Well, you are aware of some of the problems Mac created for himself? You are aware of the state of the program? You are aware that we are on probation, in effect? Maybe you should explain in some detail how Mac was treated unfairly and how it should have been handled. Please. Sniper much? He is irritating and unique, opinionated and conceited.
Regarding UF's public ivy transformation, I hate it. My career is in no way linked to UFs reputation and never has been. I'd much rather UF cater to the needs of Florida kids and accept them like they did in the 80s than chase the foreign and transfer students for money and prestige.
Okay. Many here would probably argue you're actually the jackwagon fan though. You do your best much of the time to prove that is the case. If you don't care if they win or lose, why watch? If you are disillusioned with everyone here, why read & post here? What exactly do you want to see happen with this hire and moving forward? Maybe consider posting that some instead a constant barrage of condemnation.
“Who wants another helping of BBQ sauce? We only have 1,367 cases to go!!!! Thanks again wife! Awesome idea!”
Just wanted to give you guys a head's up. We just finished the turkey here at Saban's. He wanted me to tell you guys. "SUP BITCHES!!!"
Over 95% of students are in state. https://www.studypoint.com/admissions/university-of-florida/ UF has gotten tougher because the state continues to grow and UF is the number one option. So they could build 8 more colleges in state and the competition for slots at UF would continue to go up. With that, the school has two choices - drastically increases its size when it is already one of the largest schools in the country, or embrace it and make itself elite. I am happy it’s doing the latter,
Negatives about Chip that some may be concerned with: (1) older, but not Saban old (2) fat, which conveys to kids a “do as I say, not as do” message, and lack of will power (3) not married, so no wife to host recruits at home - divorced, family values concern to recruits families (4) loner and very private person that does not let others get to know him (5) former coaches he worked with said he never talked about private life, only football. Most never knew he had been married (6). Eagles players thought he purposely traded away black players and alluded to ulterior motives (7) had NCAA recruiting violations under watch at Oregon (8) used to having best facilities and booster commitment at Oregon, and will not be same at UF (9) did not recruit Florida much while at Oregon and not familiar with HS coaches and kids in SE. will hear the same had not been recruiting me for 3 years from kids that Mac’s staff heard initially (10) stated he preferred pro ball to college when in NFL, (11). Did not immediately jump on board and not sure of interest or passion to be a Gator. (12) Can his system beat a SEC team, as lost to Auburn and LSU. Better suited for PAC, where they don’t play defense?
The only way for Kelly to take UF is up! I'm not saying I expect an MNC every year, but the goal as SOS put it, was to win the SECE. Do that and you play for the SEC. Win that, and we are in line for the playoffs. It starts with beating UT and UGa and keeping the streak against UK.
