Maybe they are inferring that UF May be easier for student athletes to get in\UF makes more athlete exceptions than UCLA does?
I watch USF all the time also, and while I wouldn't say that they've run the offense into the ground, I understand what you mean. It just appears that the explosive plays aren't happening as mush this year- it's more of a 5-10 yards at a time kind of scoring drive. Last year it seemed like an 80yd TD would pop at any time. I don't know if it's b/c USF seems to run more than before, I haven't checked that stats. The offense is still solid, it just feels like they have to work harder to score now.
Happy Thanksgiving to all y'all as well. Just checking in from Saban's house and still only caught up to p. 870
My love of UF HAS been markedly diminished over the last few years due to the way things have been run there. And not just how they're run wrt the football program.
Fair Weather Much? They could rehire Zook with Mac as OC and Champ as DC and my love fore UF would not waiver.
I definitely am pissed the way they handled Mac but there are many other things over the years that I have not liked about the way things have been done at UF and it's gotten to the point where I really don't care if we win or lose and in fact almost hope we lose because of it. Egotistical, entitled, hypocritical, delusional fans making fun of other schools and our own coaches is also a major reason. Obviously not all our fans are this way and I feel bad for the good fans that have to endure the losing but I've just about had my fill of the BS.
Maybe. I'm not sure how low each school is willing to go. Both have to go far below their typical admissions standards to create a team that competes at an ultimate level, something UCLA has always seemed to shoot for in basketball. I was mostly talking about the general perception someone might have of the school academically. Nationally the SEC is seen as the anything goes / cheating / bagmen / academics don't matter league.
I'll still love my gators but it's gotten very uncomfortable to do so the last several years. I use to be upset for days when we lost. Now I just turn it off when we have a game like Missouri i accept it much easier. I don't like accepting sucking. I'll get behind the coach no matter who we hire and I will have hope until proven otherwise. New coach renews my fortitude. Please don't suck whoever he may be.
