That might be a very expensive 5 million dollar phone.

I worked on a Cape Cod Potato Chips commercial.

Insiders at the chip company tell me Chip is coming to UF

Without scanning through 939 pages to see if this question has already been asked and answered I'll post it
Does anyone know if Kelly has visited / spent any time Gainesville recently / ever? Not sure anyone takes a job in any industry without at least looking at where they would be working and living. Obviously he knows LA and all it has to offer from a living standpoint. He's already spent a stint in two college towns miles from a bigger city....University of Oregon in Eugene is 115 miles from closest "big city" Portland. University of New Hampshire is 65 miles from actual big city Boston with all it has to offer. No matter how much better the UF football program is vs. UCLA if he hasn't spent any time visiting Gainesville, it's a big Red Flag on him choosing UF

Not sure where that rant came from. The point is that we couldn't have had all of our "ducks lined up" when there was no plan to fire Mac at the time.

Hiring Charlie is basically playing a 'what if' experiment to find out what it would have been like to have Champ in years 5-7.

    Happy Thanksgiving to all.

The CK will play out over the next week. Though I certainly have reservations about him for a variety of reasons, the enthusiasm of all on this site have swayed my views. Now for a touch of realism. I do not believe in coincidences. The timing of the firing of Mora was not a coincidence. There had to be talk by the agents, and that led to his early firing so that they could approach CK at the very time the UF admin folks (including the Pres) flew to NH to close a deal. That would not have happened if CK had not given some indications of interest in the UCLA job.

We’ll see in due course. If we get CK, then fantastic. If not, we should not play the blame game on the UAA. It does appear that they did their best to lure CK to UF. All the talk about staff hires as the reason he may be tending to UCLA is smoke and mirrors. BTW, this will not be the first time that left a team at the altar (ala the Bucs). If he chooses not to come, then we have to accept that maybe this wasn’t the best fit for us, and move on.

Guys, let’s respect Mac for what he did here, and not poke fun at the man who got fired. Besides, at this point, all the Coach Mac jokes have really jumped the shark.

So if it's on to third choice what are we looking for. Proven winner, great recruiter, name coach, only have a short window to get it done, and practically zero buyout. If these are the qualifications who do you think it is.

Happy Thanksgiving Gator Nation. Ham, turkey and dressing in the oven. Gravy on the stove. Pies in the fridge and family is gathering for a great feast! Here's hoping we get an early Christmas present by Sunday!
