Happy Thanksgiving to all the Gator faithful out there. I wouldn't expect any good news for the Gators until at least Sunday so enjoy your family, friends, food, and football. Go Gators, Beat FSU! Chip come on down!
The hot coaches from prior years are now doing a pretty good job turning around NC State and Wake Forest type programs.
Happy thanksgiving to all my gator brothers and sisters out there! You guys are like family to me (except ice queen she is my step sister). I enjoy discussing gator football with you and even ragging on each other some. Hope all of you have an amazing healthy happy thanksgiving and holiday season.
That's because it's taking longer to clean the egg off his face than expected. Kelly played us, plain and simple. No one wants to admit it. But he did. Time to move on to option C, D, or E and welcome Strong to UF.
My only off subject remark is Happy Thanksgiving to all. Be thankful for those around you & spare a thought for the less fortunate, including people in FL, Texas, PR, and California who are still recovering from their disasters.
How much does a float in Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade cost? - CBS News https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.cbsnews.com/amp/news/thanksgiving-day-parade-float-costs/ I hear UAA put up the $12M to roll out a Gator float with CK on it for HUGE announcement splash. Stand by.
It might not be a bad idea to give Zook a second chance. There would have to be two stipulations in his contract: He can't hire Ed Zaunbrecher and he has to stay away from fraternities.
I actually agree with you. Kelly' s agent is a UCLA grad for crying out loud. If we are going down the trail of looking for coaches that nobody wants. I still like the idea on keeping Shannon as "CEO"....then actually PAY the DC from Wisconsin to come here and PAY the offensive coordinator from Oklahoma State to come here.
UCLA boards are lit up that CK is headed there. They say Aikman and their donor Wasserman sealed the deal to bring him out there.
9 wins ain't what it used to be. With the addition of regular season games, conference champ games, and the massive expansion of the bowl pool there are far more chances to win 9 games. 9 used to be a great season, now it often causes grumbling and elite schools. Winning % is a far greater measure.
Exactly. This is why we hire the hot new up and comers, and have a harder time getting a big name established coach who is working at another school. It takes a giant ego and high propensity for risk to leave a good job for one that, while better, has much higher expectations. While brashness can be a good quality, a coach like Mullen who is happy where he is, may not want to move to a different job that may not give him time to succeed. (Not that I want Mullen)
A few things: -Insiders on TOS were expecting some UCLA smoke to build after MORA’s firing but the smoke is way more intense than they expected. Nonetheless, the insider’s sources expect Kelly to be UF’s coach when the dust settles. -Also for everyone here trying to figure out who their sources are. Keep in mind that a lot of national media are using agents as sources. The gville suns(especially them), Tampa bay times and Orlando Sentinel are using Uf’s Administration as sources. I don’t think their editors would let them publish anything else. So, uf to a certain extent is speaking through these sources, mostly the gville sun. You may think Dooley is buzz kill but it’s important to listen to him. The guys running sites like gator country, 247 etc likely have people inside the UAA feeding them along with a mix of boosters and agents. The cross check the info against each other. -Joe V and In all kinds of weather have been hinting at some unethical behavior from kelly’s Agent David Dunn who is also supposedly a UCLA booster. They claim Dunn went as far as to tip UCLA as to Stricklin, Fuch co trip to NH and then UCLA pulled the trigger. Those guys aren’t the most credible but if Dunn pulled such a stunt, even though he has no fiduciary relationshi pwith UF, I think UF would have a case against Dunn for negotiating in bad faith and interference with contractual relations. IMO, I don’t think Dunn would risk his reputation and career to pull such a stunt but this stuff happens sometimes in the business world. You see it one times with brokers/agents in big real estate transactions and the sale of companies.
If you try to channel your inner Bluto then I will try and channel my inner...Wormer/Neidermeyer. Agreed?
