Because I would think most coaches have an idea of who they want ahead of time (prior relationship, coaching philosophy, etc). I don't think there's a connection to CK where he'd automatically say Shannon stays. I think he SHOULD keep a few people for continuity, recruiting, whatever.

FWIW I don't think UF would be dumb enough to put a "you have to keep *insert name here*" clause. I do buy that there's some kind of NCAA compliance/rules portion to the contract but that should be there for any coach.

The SF clause - if he had a no sign clause that would cost him money, pretty sure he would've said "I'm flattered at the attention but I won't entertain any jobs until *insert date*". He'd be covering himself to make sure he doesn't lose the money.

As to the Mullen talk...I find him less likely to come due to what his wife said happened. I don't believe a word of it, but coming in to a high profile, high pressure job with a problem before you even get there? Unless he and SS are BFFs and miss fishing together I don't see how UF offer or Mullen accepts if offered.

 

If we don't get Kelly the world doesn't end. Just please....not Jimbo, Weiss or Kiffen.

The only up side to Kiffen is the scene when we play Tennessee and beat them with their ex coach.

I will say that it is very odd for strychnine to go totally stealth and not tweet about the gator sports happenings. Girls soccer just advanced to final 8. No tweet. he went from tweeting about everything going on and recognizing the sports teams to 0 tweets. very weird for a sports athletic director to go dark. don't know what it means just weird
