Tampa is such an amazing program. I live in Clearwater now and go as often as possible. They were voted the best sports organization in the country by ESPN for a reason. The atmosphere is amazing, the arena is a damn adventure. It's just incredible. Yizzy has really done incredible at building this team and I really can't wait to win that Stanley Cup and celebrate. So close for a few years, bad year last year but damn good this year. Can't wait till UF is back to that level. Just so much more fun as a fan watching your team do well. Though the loses do create far more heartbreak. I was depressed for a week after losing to Pitt. Had so much invested in that darn team.
As I recall, it did. That's an assumption about Saban at Michigan State, but it's not guaranteed (even if it is likely). However, Mullen seems unlikely to only replicate his MSU success considering the superior talent and easier division at UF.
Simply basing it on MD's success and the fact that most consider Saban to be a superior coach. The problem with you assumption on easier division ignores his record against team even or better and the fact that yearly we play LSU, UGA, FSU, etc. you are still looking at 2-3 loses a year plus the winner of the west. The odds don't favor him punching up. Pick a different guy to back you can't convince me on DM.
Off the top of my head, I can't provide one. But think about all the leaks about UF vetting Kelly's potential assistants.
This isn't about the first five seasons it's about the body of work over 9 seasons. If Saban had stayed at Mich st. His record would have been better than under .500 in conference. FTR he coached against TOSU, UM, WISKY, IOWA, PENN ST, NORTHWESTERN as or tougher in than the west that DM coaches against.
Tilly, I have never posted before but it seems you are prepping us for Mullen. That is highly disappointing and means that the UF Administration is a massive failure. If you have information that shows Kelly is still coming please post it. If it’s done it’s done.
You have a weird anti Mullen thing here. Saban at Michigan State (a program with a history of success) after five years: 34-24-1 (57%) Mullen at Mississippi State (a program with no success in the toughest division in college football) after five years: 36-28. (57%) Since then, 33-17 (66%) Look, I get it. For whatever reason you just don't like Dan Mullen. He ran over your dog. He had sex with your wife. Whatever. But most people with knowledge of the context of college football and of Mississippi State know that's he's proved himself. He's a very good coach at a bad program elevating them to heights they've never seen before.
