If (and this is a big if) this is true, I don't see the egotists running the show at UF backing down.
Florida resumes it's pursuit of Scott Frost as planned. We can't really touch him until December anyways so we're killing time if we can't land Chip.
Admittedly the CBSSports article only sites undisclosed sources but it includes the following which has some ring from other chatter we've heard: "Florida and Kelly are believed to be going back and forth on coaches the Gators want Kelly to keep from the current staff. Defensive coordinator and interim coach Randy Shannon has been mentioned as one of the staffers being discussed." Unlike some who have posted recently, I won't necessarily fault Stitch if he made a credible run at CK and the coach chose another, such as UCLA, based on his own preferences. There can be factors beyond the AD's control. BUT, if we lose because some booster(s) make a bull-headed demand that the new HBC keep a particular bff staffer, then blame can be assigned. AD CAN prevent that. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.cb...ould-decide-on-florida-or-ucla-by-sunday/amp/
I don't think anyone knows anything. Why would assistant coaches talk? Why would other agents talk? I think its a BS story.
I would hope we have a good plan for him if needed. If Kelly bolts Frost would be the cat staring at the canary.
Exactly. Listen, I'm definitely nervous, but these guys are just running with the same recycled trash that 247 ultimately decided needed to be deleted. I have no idea how this will pan out. People from both sides seem confident that Kelly will pick their team.
I know this a a really crazy observation and I must be nuts but doesnt it strike you as a little unusual that there has not been even a peep from the UAA? That is kind of what I was thinking.
