Man, we went through a lot of work negotiating and basically setting up his entire potential coaching staff just to have UCLA come to the table with a bullet point offer of salary plus promises.
I gotta say it again but ITS SO OBVIOUS we will be hiring CK and may have already. It shouldn't take Encyclopdeia Brown, the Hardy Boys, Scooby and the gang, Matlock or Magnum PI detective skills to come to that conclusion...The not knowing for sure and the anxiousness of waiting is driving more than a few batty and full of consternation but in less than a week those folks will be thinking why did I ever have any doubts.
Here's my conjecture Re. UCLA--CK signed the contract with us, but it's being held in escrow, with a potential opt out clause (if you will), prior to the K. being deployed/delivered by the escrow agent. UCLA called, begged him to hear them out, and CK agreed, and flew out (and prolly chose to go to LA, rather than hosting in NH, bc....its LA. Great place to visit, no?). So unless UCLA can blow our deal out of the water, UF k. will be deployed, n CK announced as next Gator HFC. JMHO...
Ok Bannished to the pub. I’ll go talk turkey there. And football and the coach search because that’s why I come here, but I also like to have fun. But for goodness sakes, leave the golf out lol. Unless you want to teach me to not swing the club like a baseball bat. Because I’m a grass killer.
The thing Strong has going for him, is the fanbase likes him (as a person) they would embrace him to give him a chance. He is not plan C though. The thing I like about CS is as a defensive guy, he wants big offense. (Unlike Muschamp) Strong could work here. I believe it. But I think he is likely 4th or 5th down the list.
Rumor floating around is, if he loses to Bama, he will resign and goto Arkansas. He and the Auburn AD are apparently not good buddies.
He's definitely not going to 10RC at least. https://www.usatoday.com/story/spor...-florida-ucla-turns-down-tennessee/888551001/
