If he chooses UCLA over us then that just means he doesn't want to coach in the pressure cooker that is SEC and UF football. Because there is nothing else that UCLA offers over UF. And if that is the case then he isn't the right coach for us anyway. So why fret? It just shows the process is working and has eliminated a coach that wouldn't be good for us. And if he choose us over UCLA, then we know he has his eyes wide open and really wants to be here. It's win-win, really.
@DarrenHeitner Sources: Chip verbally agreed to Florida before South Carolina game & Florida has been vetting dozens of assistant candidates. Chip signed an agreement with Florida on Sunday. Agreement includes window for Chip to back out of deal. Hence UCLA talks. Reporting w/@biggamejames36
Again, this crap has dragged out long enough so that if he were NOT going to coach here, I think he would have said so and UF definitely would have said so. Dragging it out this long only benefits UF if he does come here.
I'm not trying to be difficult. Understand the rules and I know this is an epic exception. But folks are having fun, then someone gets upset. Then the subject changes, then someone gets upset. If the thread needs to now be only about CK and only about sports then make it a rule & we'll leave until we have a football related post. But people were complaining about cooking (of course there is no sarcasm font so the complaints could've been jokes). As to the Pub...will give it a try at some point. I think it's best if I keep to what I said earlier and just leave unless I have a football related post. Happy Thanksgiving everyone.
He may have been here in disguise. I ran into a woman last week on University Ave who looked a lot like him. "She" seemed to be looking around. I asked her where an old bachelor like me could go to have some fun in town. She said "Will you shut up?" and walked off. Sounded kind of masculine.
I assume every "report" is false and Im not a lawyer but including language to allow a guy out of a agreement seems pretty damn stupid if thats true
How can you possibly know his reasons for choosing UCLA if he goes there? UCLA offers plenty that UF doesn't. UF offers plenty that UCLA doesn't. They both have their pluses and minuses.
Yep. That’s the first sign you need to move on to the next candidate. It would smack of UF being a fall back position in lieu of the first choice.
It’s just bitterness. When the hot girl turns you down you conclude she wasn’t really that attractive anyway.
Until I hear otherwise from @tilly or @BenTrillGriffin , I’m going to believe Kelly is our guy. These two have consistently had the best information I’ve seen. Consider me a believer until further notice
