True. By the time CK is named coach we will have endured their nonsense for damn near 2 weeks. I was trying to be friendly but I’d be on board with a longer ban that allows the level headed among us to celebrate and throw up a few Dilly Dillys.
Appreciate you taking the time to respond. I’ve been a longtime commenter at AA because of the community but I have to say, I’m really enjoying the community over here and the content provided. Might even stick around. Thanks again for sticking your neck(s) out and pushing information from sources. Even if it falls through, it’s certainly made my week entertaining.
About as believable as all the other putrid being spewed by those who are dependant on people reading their material.
TBH, I'm amazed at what has been let go in this thread. I am almost never offended so personally, I don't mind.
And IF the admin is trying to insist keeping staff, that is handcuffing him before be even gets in the door. Clarifying IF. I feel like I'm speaking for almost all of us here in saying I can't wait for it all to be over with. Its exhausting.
TBH I’m extremely nervous. The reality is Chip Kelly is the best coach for UF since SOS. He’s a bonafide Star and will put us in the CFP in 3 years max.... I’m nervous because how much is at stake, not that I don’t think we will get him. As long as Scooter is willing to give Chip the key to the castle we will get him. We are the best job. Best competition. Best chance for titles. That’s what Chip wants, evidence is that he went to the NFL. The problem arises if we don’t give him the keys but UCLA does. If we don’t give 100% commitment and UCLA does. That basically evens the field. However I think Scooter knows how important it is....
I think it has been seven years since I last posted before this thread. I’ll gladly go away for another seven if Chip is hired. Won’t miss posters like yourself who only want to read things that fir their narrative.
His choice will tell you all you need to know about his primary motivation. If more money can draw away a man who is already rich, it tells me he wants to be in a less challenging situation. There may be other factors but if he chooses a program which clearly is less of a challenge than the UF job he is telling you that he would rather be a big fish in a smaller bowl. We want a coach with the stones and the desire to take on the best. If he chokes on that we don't want him ideal or not.
Yes i know we do... I just love how recruits feel like they can demand who stays or who doesnt.. I was just making the general statement what happens if the coach doesnt want to you
Yep. If I was Chip I wouldn’t go to a place that didn’t have a guarantee on top facilities, full control over assistants/analysts (with a huge budget), commitment to implement nutrition and technology plan. He’s too good of a coach with too many options to be micromanaged. If anything we can probably offer him a lower base than other schools, and higher incentives. But he needs to be given the keys
I agree! These snowflake wanna be Gators don't have the temperament to be the ALPHA predator in the southeast United States. Hiring a big time head coach at a top 10 program takes big brass balls to SUCCESSFULLY complete the task. Everything I've seen and everything I haven't heard from SS and company leads me to believe he is up to the task of getting #1 on his list.
Eh we won’t know all the details. But given the info about Kelly what is most important is the school giving the $$$ and commitment for him to run his program. Honestly Fooleys lack of commitment to football (facilities) may bite us here. Why would Kelly want to wait YEARS to get competitive facilities?
I don't think they're technically demanding, I think Corral is having a good trolling session as he's been the lynchpin holding the class together. Now if the new coach/staff doesn't want these kids.... Everyone in trouble next year. Imho
Because he could influence the designs of the facilities exactly as he wants them. And when he wins big the building will have his name on it.
