I'm going to have to try that. The bitterest thing I've (inadvertently) tasted was a bit of Duster; it's all fun and games pretending your on Intervention until some actually touches your lips.
Yes, that is a possibility. Maybe the specifics aren't being reported accurately. If there is an offsetting payments penalty, I think it's more likely that it is tied to the amount CK is paid to coach football by somebody else. Not a random $5 million figure.
Couldn't we just be waiting for the season to be complete due to old fashioned respect for our current staff and team? Nobody likes having someone over their shoulder when they are trying to do their job.
If that rumor is true about the five million with San Francisco, I would imagine that the head brass is in Communications with San Francisco trying to work out allowing Chip Kelly to sign before Sunday. Obviously they want chip and took their top six officials there. They do not want this to drag on until Sunday because anything can happen until the contract is signed anything can happen and I'm sure they don't want to take any chances with this hire. Even if Chip Kelly reassured than 100% that he was on board. Nothing earth-shattering in this post just my thoughts
Well a bowl game is postseason in the strictest sense; if you're not playing for the championship, it's prep for next year.
When I saw their tweets I figured they were hanging out together at the time. And interpreted it like "hmmmmm what's going on? "
As explained up thread, 6 passenger plane flew north with six passengers. There was never any intent of flying back with a 7th. ....and you don't send generals and officers to do soldiers' work. The generals attend to preside over terms of surrender, they don't charge the beachheads.
Because, if it’s accurate, that’s the way SF wrote the initial contract, to keep from paying him if he took another job within a certain period, which just happens to expire now, or at the end of the college season, etc. It’s pretty standard verbiage in the NFL, not just because whatever. Top 5 picks and high demand coaches are usually afforded the offset language, since the teams are paying them don’t have much concern that they will fire/cut them before that contract expires, so they will be paying the entire amount, no matter what. SF could be acting petty, and refusing to amend it, or else it’s easier to wait a few extra days. I obviously haven’t seen his contract with SF, so I have no idea if this is all true, but if it is, it makes sense for both UF and CK to wait a little longer to save that $ (assuming we have a verbal agreement, of course!)
They also agreed on the importance of keeping Gator fans wondering, guessing, and suffering. They probably talked about this thread and had a good laugh.
Most compelling part of it all. As much smoke as has emanated from the rumor mill, either side would have felt compelled to quash further speculation, because it benefits neither to let false innuendo and rumor to fester and grow. ...and both have had more than ample opportunity to speak to it, and expressly shut it down.
Just know you have been warned......The smell is AWFUL, but that is just the beginning of the horror that is Durian. And for what it is worth, i didn't vomit. I did not try balut though....that i am pretty sure would have made me vomit.
