This thread has got to continue until the official announcement of Kelly's hire. By that time we'll have over two million views and 25,ooo posts. Keep it going guys and Gals!
Worked for SOS when he left UF. His story was the Sports Section headline, placing the story of the Miami Hurricanes’ National Championship below the fold!
Did we get jilted at the altar? Let me understand the facts: 1.The President and entourage fly to NH to close the deal and they come away empty handed. 2. His agent orchestrates the firing of Morro at UCLA, and Chip suddenly has to go west to talk to them. I have been intrigued by the enthusiasm displayed on this board for CK. To the point that I put aside all reservations about him, including his willingness to recruit hard, his past issue with the NCAA, and other concerns. Perhaps he doesn’t really want the job or would prefer to be on the west coast. If so, wish him well and let’s move on and find someone who really wants to be here as opposed to being someone’s shill. Can’t get over the rebuff by CK to the UF Pres and gang. It is almost like a slap in the face.
What's funny is that we're comparing home prices and Disney properties and beaches as though any of that makes any difference at all to Chip Kelly. He's going to pick the school that gives him a chance to win big while allowing him to enjoy what he's doing. If that's us, great. But it won't be because our Disney has an animal park.
"So human males have nipples as some kind of evolutionary relic, right? Someone said that male horses don't have 'em. Where were the male nipples lost and/or regained? Any ideas why? This is always a fun question. You're right. Male horses don't have nipples, but it's because female horses have their nipples between their hind legs, and in males, that real estate is used for other purposes. So male horses lost their nipples because there was a reason to lose them. Human males have nipples because there is no compelling reason to get rid of them, and some would say they're even kinda fun. Instances of males lactating are usually due to large amounts of estrogen in the body, which basically feminizes them. I don't think there's any evidence that men, way back in time, ever actually breast fed their young. As I understand it, male nipples aren't vestigial breasts. Rather, the basic human body template just comes with nipples, and it's your XX or XY chromosomes that determine how they develop.
I know the coaches like the extra practice time they get but I have no notion on how anybody views this year with all the uncertainty with coaches etc
Geez, this thread has devolved into discussions on horse nipples (guilty) and ham-handed attempts by thirsty members to seduce @icequeen. Please someone put us out of our misery!
If whatever new coach we get is willing to start immediately, I say let him and the admin decide and possibly go to a bowl game to get the extra practices for him to get to know the team. Not sure how productive it would be, but I'd heavily weigh the new coach's wishes on that.
BTW, I'm staying in a Holiday Inn Express tomorrow night, so I might have the answer by Wednesday morning!
