I have actually watched games she calls, while the TV is on mute. My wife gives me this look like "what is wrong with you?"

The only way I can explain it my thought process... it would be like Vince Mcmahon or the monster truck commentator calling the Westminster Dog Show. It just doesn't fit.

 

The PLane never would have had the coach, they went with six, and it only seats six. Was Chip gonna ride in someone's lap?

Fair enough, but my point is that the money going to Oregon athletics is Phil Knight's money, not from Nike. Kelly at UF isn't going to bring in Nike money.

Agreed it's rumors vs rumors.

If it hasn't been announced he's been hired elsewhere, then I would fully expect them to be pursuing him. While we're on the subject of rumors, nobody from UCLA has confirmed they're pursuing him nor have they announced any candidates. Media is writing articles on why he'd be a good fit, why UCLA should pursue him, why he should choose one school or the other, etc.

Only thing UCLA has said is they fired Mora. At the very least we know for a fact we are close to something with Kelly.

 

I agree and to each their own, just seems like the tone of your post is that we struck out and it’s over.

 

Well, we are already in the Nike portfolio, but the money was significant when Spurrier was here. It would be silly to think that if Chip came to UF and had the same impact he had at Oregon that Nike wouldnt want to be front and center of that potential financial windfall.
