By best fit for chip that means the relationships with the people he has to deal with within the administration- like the AD, president, etc. do you somehow know if he already friendly with the UCLA brass? Maybe chip was at thr Mora bbq when they fired him on his birthday

This is so true. You knew going into the season that if UCLA underachieved that Mora was gone and you know Chip would be rumored as a replacement
lol I was just about to post. Sorry guys but I am not feeling optimistic about the Kelly hire anymore. My sentiments are similar to Dan Patrick's at this point. Two weeks ago, I didn't know much about Chip Kelly, other than that I loved the way his Oregon teams played. When these rumors about him coming to UF started, I read every article and profile of him I could find on the internet. I'm still no expert, but I feel like I've learned a fair amount about CK's personality from my reading. And everything I've read leads me to the inescapable conclusion that the UCLA job would be more to his liking than the UF job. I'd explain my reasoning but there's nothing new or innovative about it; I've seen numerous other posters list the reasons already. I'm not the only one who's been reading up on Chip, apparently. I hope I am wrong. Although I suspect that CK sees UCLA as a more attractive gig, I still think he will be highly successful at UF if he gives it a shot. But, as it stands right now, when it comes to Chip Kelly coaching the Gators next year, I'm like ol' Ray Charles on that one: I just don't see it happening.
There' not really much more to talk about until more news breaks either way. The ball is in chips court to decide where he wants to coach. Seems we've made our offer/pitch and now we wait to see if he wants it.
Again, if we don’t hear of rumors/leaks about reaching out to other coaches, it’s a done deal. First word of reaching out to other coaches, it’s dead.
