Correct, that's what I was alluding to by saying that flight was going to happen regardless of the UCLA thing. Once the all clear was given from San Fran legal, only thing to do is go up there and get the thing signed. That's just me guessing.
The mods have no reason to mislead us here. If they say UCLA isn't involved, then I believe them. I'm still sticking by my own suspicion that Kelly has already signed, will be in Gainesville either today or by the day after the fsu game (out of respect for Coach Shannon), and that this entire UCLA nonsense was created by Mora's firing and the sports media bloggers just turned it into a huge gossip monster that just acquired a life of it's own.

I doubt we were vetting any potential assistants. Why waste time and money on people who may not even be interested in coming to Florida as an assistant. I could see doing it if Chip had all but been assured by those possible assistants that they would definitely come... I just don't see that likely during the final weeks of the season.
Not necessarily, do I think that after multiple people including Fuchs went up last night to wrap it up is a high probability, yes. Recruits are hanging? Where they going? Can't sign till Dec. 20 th. They'll be there waiting to see who it is.
Hard to believe. Maybe it will make sense in retrospect. It has been said Chip Kelly contacted us- showed interest. Of course it would have been through his agent or a representative. If he's still deliberating it tells me he's not quite sure he wants to be at UF, which is fine and understandable. If he does commit after careful deliberation he will bring the passion and commitment to do it right. I can see him being slow to say yes since he has so much frickin money still owed by San Fran. Why does he need to hurry? Maybe he isn't sure he wants to coach again at any level. Who knows?
Im not educated on betting but I believe it means that bettors are betting on Chip to UCLA. If people were betting the other way the line would move to like +200 then +400 or something. Like in college football FSU opened as -4.5 over Florida, that means FSU is favored. So if the line moves to -125 or whatever the next movement would be, it means people are betting heavy on Chip to UCLA
