pipe dream hypothetical... Say CK deal does fall through, there's MAYBE 4 coaches that if hired would make us feel great still in spite of losing CK or more than just soothe that miss but make it minuscule in comparison. Possibilities that have any likelihood of happening: Frost Stoops w/SOS as OC Gruden (just to dig Vols if anything) And the .00001% of actually happening: Saban Bill Bellichik So allow me to dream for a second and pose this question... Bellichik calls our AD Sonja Sodermeir and says "look, I want to be your coach. Brady is retiring and after this season I'm ready for a new challenge. Bring me the contract today and I'll sign it...BUT it can not be announced until we've clinched playoffs and home field." Would you be willing for us to sacrifice losing out on several recruits potentially with the early signing period as well as go through possibly another month and a half of not knowing who is gonna be our coach to wake up in late December or early January to find out we've had a contract signed with Bill Bellichik since Dec. 1st? Personally speaking, hell yeah I would! Alright I'll head back to reality now
Our A Team? Let's send in a GC Team to wrap this up. Maybe "Tyler" can arrange it (since he nailed the info last night while living in his dad's basement reading texts over pop's shoulder)
So you think it's possible that this whole thing was over a week ago, and our administration just went up there for dinner last night? And that they thought it would be a good idea to leave recruits hanging by keeping it all a secret for another 10 days? Or do you think the simpler answer is more likely: the deal wasn't done then and isn't done right now.
Queen, without sounding like a stalker, can I ask you what you do? Nope didn't work, that sounds completely psycho and I should delete it before I accidentally hit sen
So I had to do a little thing called 'WORK' for a while (LOL), so it was just Shannon doing his regular weekly presser and no Slick Strickster? Hmmmm, interesting....
I have heard people lament that we still are paying Champ.....are the contract norms different between College and NFL?
This is about what I myself have guessed about how events unfolded. I’m sure this is accurate. What I’m afraid is also accurate is what likely came next. That being (my guess of course) that we dragged our feet vetting a list of potential assistants when the deal could have been done before UCLA even entered the picture. If we have to settle for the Dollar Tree option because of that happening, all I can say is good luck Scott. You’re gonna need it if those events ever become certain.
Like the new dope (any new dope). But, not sure you'd fly brass to NH if lawyers were still humping language between two big contracts.
My favorites were from the “Yella’s Your Color” ads...particularly the one where SOS, with all the perfect timing of a 16 year-old in the back seat of Dad’s car for the first time, says, upon hearing that his office was being painted, “MY OFFICE?! NO ONE WAS ...(pause to open door)...SUPPOSED TA’....”....(feigned look of surprise!)” Horrible actor. Good sport. Outstanding coach.
So that should mean they have odds on him getting UF job as well right? If so what are they? If they don't I'd never trust such a site.
Hey what's up man! Not exactly sure how one agreement would relate to the other to be honest. I'm trying to find out more on why it would matter. There may be minute things like he can't hire a SF staff member or some nuances like that, that's just me guessing though. If I can find out anything that I'm told is okay to share, I will. But that does make sense as far as the timing of this. If we have to agree to terms, draw up the contract, make sure Kelly's people say it looks good, then SF legal looks over, etc. Sounds like a ton of back and forth that wouldn't be handled in 5 business days. Still hearing that although WE would like it to move faster that this thing is moving super fast considering all of the steps it needs.
