I would think that he figured that there could be people there, with the outside hope that there wouldn't be people there.
After all the effort to make the trip secret and all the time spent working out the deal, do you think he was eager to see a reporter as he strolled off the runway even if the deal was done? These guys want to announce things on their own terms so it doesn’t surprise me, but I think he handled it well considering the circumstances. Would you like it if people followed you while you’re in the process of closing a business deal, asking what you can divulge? I’d be pretty pissy about it.
Bill Sikes from the gators breakdown podcast just tweeted that he believes the deal is done. It’s not he’s connected but He’s not one to post rumors or insider noise unless he thinks is true. I’m optimistic again!!!!
yea people are going to over analyze whatever Stricklin says if he speaks. His words mean very little unless hes saying Chip is hired. Dude is going to lie to us, its his job
Oh did you go to school to do that? Do you work for the FBI or police reading peoples body language as a living as they are talked to by investigators? Is this you??!?!?! http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1235099/
One thing is irrefutable: If we miss out on Kelly the fallout is gonna be brutal. From the anger and disappointment of the fans, the uncertainty of the commits, and the clowning that will take place by the competition.
Maybe, just maybe, the whole UCLA thing is BS and used as a way to justify postponing the announcement until after the FSU game. Remember all the comments earlier in the process about being deferential to Shannon. Sounds like whoever the coach is, admin really wanted to get this season over with first.
Andy Staples made a good point that is bad for us in a column on UCLA. He mentions that Chip Kelly might be uncomfortable at a place with a rabid fan base. The exact words were "he despises a fishbowl environment." I've no idea if that's true, but if it is, that's a big blow against us. Our fans are not good in that regard. https://www.si.com/college-football/2017/11/19/jim-mora-ucla-coaching-search-chip-kelly
High risk, high reward. This was always going to be the cost of pursuing CK but if we didn’t I would have been more embarrassed.
Unless they are full of silicon... in that event, you can just go to a toy store and play with some plastic balls. Give me perky A/B/C naturals over inflated D/DD's any day.
