I told you (or someone), it's the first point of his (that a contract was not signed) that I'm referring to after all the "info" last night on here about the contract being signed. The most logical outcome all along during this clickbait extravaganza was that CK does not wind up coaching at UF and I will be shocked if he actually does.

I agree completely. It would be a completely dick move to be getting close to or at an agreement then, wait for 6;people to fly up just to tell them , “uh guys, I heard UCLA job opened up and I kinda want to talk to them first. Sorry you wasted time flying up here on a Sunday and all when you could’ve spent it with the kids”

If something like that occurred I’d assume we would drop him as a candidate. Can’t imagine either party would be comfortable working together after that stunt. But wouldn’t it be more likely that his agent or CK himself was already aware of what jobs are open or could be open and had thought about those in advance? It shouldn’t be like “all of a sudden I think I might like Southern California and need to take a look see”

 

If Dan is our coach there are a lot of reasons to stop watching football. I don't think it'll come to that

Chip is from the east and still makes his home there

He is not a western guy per say and with high taxes they are going to have to pay a lot more to even out take home pay

More worried about teams ready to over pay

You do know Mullen is best buds with Kelly being from New Hampshire also

It is hilarious to watch this thread's estimation of the worth of Chip Kelly as a football coach and a person alternate between the answer to all our prayers and the devil himself. He goes from being Chip to Chump back to Chip from page to page And all of this is based on the latest troll or the weakest rumor. I have become less interested in Chip Kelly and more interested in seeing how long this thread can go and how high the final post count will be. Kelly was the one who expressed interest first and if he didn't sign last night, then that makes him the bad guy for playing us, and well before Mora was fired.

I too find it hard to believe he turned down signing for our heavy hitter group and believe that a lot of this UCLA stuff is just a gossip monster grown amok when Mora was fired.

If he did turn us down outright after Fuchs and his group went up there, then I say give him 48 more hours and if he isn't ours by then, tell Kelly to shove it and move on. We don't have time for games.

Just to add, this thread got a lot better and a whole less hectic and rumor-infested when i started filtering every new poster with less than 100 posts. Lol
