The only source that I've heard about the PC time change is Buddy Martin who also reported the contract was signed. Is there another source?
It would be up to Gville not down. The Hilton is the choice for visiting teams unless there is a booster with accommodations. FWIW it's only a 30 min drive up to Gville from the Ocala airport.
He was always going to wait on the UCLA job and not sign anything. We were his backup, he took us for a ride.
ShortBus, this is awesome. The next time you run this it would also be interesting to know how many different posters there were on the thread. Also, I was wondering if you could tweak your script to find all the variations on SS’s name. Maybe look for two consecutive words that each start with a capital S. I think it would be a nice coda for this thread.
I'm honestly over it, I'm out. "IF" he signs great if not, at this point I don't give a zippity flippin do da.
Do you honestly think that we were twiddling our thumbs for the past week and a half? The more likely scenario is that he was really stubborn about his terms and both sides had a lot of work to do to come to an agreement. I know it's frustrating but it doesn't make any sense otherwise.
Hmmm.... You have absolutely no clue. My guess is you haven't negotiated anything more than a car loan. It's not like we tell him what to do and he just does it. Chill out man. One tweet sets you on fire.
This back and forth, mixed signals is obviously very frustrating. And I hate the dicking around. However this is our AD's first hire and its a crucial one for the program, so I understand if they are trying to muddy the water as much as possible so that nothing leaks until right before the actual presser. That is the only explanation I have for all this jockeying and deceit. If things were never at the point of a contract, and Stricklin flew up there and came home empty handed, after a week of letting the flames grow, that would be a huge blow to his career at UF. I just don't believe he is that incompetent, and really wants to make this a big production for the national stage as his first hire. We shall see.
Ah, so now he's walking back what he said. Yea, I'm just going to call it a night. We'll see what happens tomorrow.
