Basically people are impatient and acting b*tchy and now suddenly believe every rumor about Chip TO UCLA even thought they doubted every rumor about Chip to UF.

So yeah. There's a meltdown for the doubters going on.

If you click through the CBS link they are literally regurgitating the original 247 link that has ZERO backup to it. Anyone could have written that article for any coaching search. In any case it is definitely a wrinkle but by no means does it mean CK is off the table for UF. Until it’s official either way we shouldn’t be panicking.

Stewart Mandel is also speculating because he hates the SEC and would love to see an SEC school come in second to an “inferior” program. He was the biggest proponent that the SEC was overrated, power was cyclical, etc. during the 06-present era. He also writes for...drumroll please...Fox sports. Who happen to have a TV deal with the PAC 12.

This will be my last comment on this. I know where the information is coming from here and I trust it. But it's coming in fragments from different source. There's no written plan that's going to give you definitive answers but clearly, unless you want to believe there's a conspiracy of people here trying to lie to you, there clearly negotiations between UF and Kelly. You can choose where you want to believe they are.

The mainstream media like CBS isn't reporting because they aren't going to report rumors or use message boards as a source, not matter what the boards say. They're only going to report if if they can identify a source.

If CBS posted it, they more than likely got it from somebody in the agent's office. They probably don't have sources at the schools. But the fact that the agent has been so tight lipped about the negotiations with UF but either didn't issue the same gag order at UCLA or gave CBS the information themselves tells me this is probably disinformation.

 

Sorry to hear about your dad. Hope he's OK

 

Has anyone considered that given the event that got CK in trouble at Oregon, thoroughly vetting his assistants might be a requirement by the SEC or even the NCAA? Hell it should be part of our own due diligence - and all the people on here freaking out over how big a risk CK is should be the first to understand that.
