I think its hilarious that Florida fans keep deluding themselves into believing that Chip has been a lock to Florida for a week and the same "sources" and "insiders" keep relying on crappy vague information that just puking out the same "chip is a done deal" stuff that we've been seeing for nearly 7 days.

Skepticism is an acceptable approach at this point especially when more and more national guys think ucla and chip will happen while florida sits on their hands "Vetting" people for....a week? Really? Takes that long to do this? I mean what the hell is Florida doing really?

I'm just going to sit back and enjoy our beat down of SOW and Gator basketball and let Mr. Stricklin do the job he was hired to do. I trust him to make the right choice for the University of Florida. Go Gators!

 

Yup. That and the fact that usually these things don't longer on this long. NFL contract, staff vetting, and all that other nonsense. If u want him u go get him. Hopefully UCLA does not show us how that is done.

He should have been our first choice and this should have been wrapped up a week ago. Why are we so slow.

We should just start the Pessimist Post, I have my reservations about our athletic department as well in the past. But I also know that's Foley's Athletic Department. This is Stricklin's first go round, so I think it makes more sense to actually let him screw the pooch before assuming that's what he does regularly.

You mean the athletic department with 3 national titles in the last 21 years? There have been mistakes in hiring, but the support is there. Just need to get this one right.

The biggest problem now is that if it is not Chip Kelly, nobody will convince the fanbase that we got our first choice no matter who it is. And to hear (if true) that we might be going after a coach we don't even trust to hire his own assistants is not encouraging.

 

I cut the cord a few years ago. Just happened to see it on at a bar/brunch place this morning. I use PlayStation Vue for recording/watching games now. Reliability depends on my broadband connection.
