If Kelly cares about winning and being surrounded with the best recruits, staff, fans, facilities etc... there's no question he'd choose Florida over UCLA. No comparison.

UCLA is the job you take if you want an easy place to win 6-7 games a year and retire on the west coast.

Florida is the place you choose if you want to compete for championships. Since Kelly has yet to win one, and we all know he's a competitive SOB - he'd be stupid to take UCLA over Florida.

Something tells me he's not an idiot.

It changes things because it' official now, they will be calling him to gauge intrest. Before when the Kelly rumors started we were the only ones at the dance. Now they just showed up and can ask for a dance as well. This is not good unless Strickland folds quickly. Could turn into a bidding war that I don' think we want to win

This is pure speculation but this UCLA thing doesn't help. They are doubtlessly going to make a hard push for him now.

 

Spot on my man. It's been well known that UCLA was going to can Mora, just like it's well known Nebraska is going to fire their guy. EVERYBODY knew that was going to be an opening, no reason to panic because it actually happened now.

Anything being presented as fact by media is conjecture at this point. Click bait, indeed (as far as SS wanting to hire Frost). UAA is leaking nothing at all to any media. I don't think this impedes Chip to UF.

As for that specific SB Nation report, they reported that Ole Miss had offered Taggart a job and like 8-9 other things in that report. SB Nation immediately tweeted like 10 minutes later that they had tweeted false info. SS wants to hire Chip. That being said I'm sure Kelly's AGENT will at least hear UCLA out, that's his job. SS job is to close the deal.

 

Or maybe I'm just not in a low spot in my life to where I have to resort to a message board for humor...... Maybe.

Kinda gives that feeling of well an insider, still doesnt make you athletic director, prez of university, or director of finance. Insider guesses are just the same as discount guesses.

 

I didn' say they would out bid us. I said if it comes down to a bidding war I don't think we want in. Meaning they would go back and forth with UCLA they would just let him go
