An observation about Coach Kelly’s words on ESPN... the big giveaway was him paying respects to Meyer and Spurrier. He’s already in Gator coach mode when he said that. Why else would such a comment be necessary in the context of the questioning? What does Meyer and Spurrier have to do with whether or not he’s coming to Gainesville? Unless he’s already part of the team.... P.S. if someone else made his observation earlier in the thread, please forgive in advance.
FYI - Tilly nominated in the thread asking who is 2017 Gator Football MVP. He's running neck and neck with Eddy P.
and some people are looking for a little Gator camaraderie, some humor in an otherwise humorless season, and yes, some CK news. Others are jonesing on the G'ville airport feed, but to each his own. I only watched for a couple of hours until they turned on the lights.
On one hand i want to agree. But he and Urban are supposedly friends, so he would say something nice about him regardless. Read the quotes about Chip by Urban.
Was 100 pages back and before any pic ban request. Regarding that request, I imagine many here are not real time and can control their surroundings.
I think the most interesting portion of the ESPN spot this morning are the first few sentences and Kelly's response. Let's not forget this was a scheduled/produced segment (there is this Gator logo on screen, questions are at least partially prepared). Although airplane tracking out of GNV is the focus of our lives on this thread it would hardly be newsworthy for ESPN unless it were true, the ESPN crew were purposely trolling us, or both. Even more interesting is the way each laugh about the airplane tracking - as if this has been a topic joked about off camera. Kevin even says in that introduction to the topic, "I'm sure you know" and "I'm sure you heard about it" in an almost sarcastic way. It just wouldn't be that funny or cute unless there had been some diversion tactics and chatter within ESPN. If there was literally no story, this would have been mildly amusing for ESPN's staff on like Wednesday. Not worthy of a segment on Sunday and "can't help but smile" funny.
This reminds me of ‘The life or Brian’ Brian: ‘I am not the Messiah’ Crowd: Only the true Messiah would deny He is the Messiah Brian: OK, then I am The Messiah Crowd: Hail, Hail the true Messiah
He needed to fill air time, and not answer the question. What else would he talk about without agreeing or denying?
All I know is. Meyer said Kelly helped him refocus his offense. Called him a genius. Always a good sign. Meyer may be a douche, but he does know what a good coach looks like.
Speaking of that, did you see and hear the UF band member they showed right before halftime yesterday? He kept yelling "We want Bama! We want Bama!" Or some such.
