They could make Shannon assistant ambassador to Spurrier. Or assistant AD emeritus to Foley. Either job would basically entail keeping his boss's nose out of Coach Kelly's business.
Shannon could have his own office, with a plaque on the wall saying, "This job helps me more than you'll ever know."
Yes and no. I have a teen girl. Knows everything because I am an involved mom and would rather she learn from me than someone at school. She dresses modestly (her choice), is outgoing, wants to go into biology, and an Honor Roll student. She has a phone, laptop and tablet. Which are all subject to inspection by ME. Off color funny stuff? We see together & laugh. You shield kids too much they'll learn eventually, from the internet or their friends. Neither is a good option. And when you protect too much they go overboard when they get a small taste of freedom. It's all age appropriate. There are some episodes of South Park for example my daughter can watch but not my 8 yr old son. But to each their own.
I'm fine with "ambassador" but Coach Shannon should have nothing to do with recruiting. His recruiting his has been hideous his entire UF tenure.
When my son was 6 he asked "Daddy where do babies come from" I broke out the Anatomy book and spent an hour showing and explaining it to him. I was always 100% truthful with my kids. Today both my son and daughter are married, neither have kids. And my daughter is the reason for me being GatorDad!
He just said he was in NewHampshire during the week when asked about the plane tracking landing in Connecticut and said it was a great job whoever got it. Didn’t deny or affirm anything and his answer that he was not there and only comes in on the weekends to Bristol gives him a reason for answering that way when asked if and when he formally takes the position with him saying the plane was there to talk to his people and he really wasn’t in Bristol.
