Agree. The news of knowing I'm playing for chip next year would motivate me if anything. I'd be pumped.
There is one really big problem with your logic in C. When you fire someone, that is a unilateral move. When you hire someone, that requires mutual agreement. If Kelly wants to haggle over details, then the UAA has no choice but to play along if it wants to stay at the table and get a deal done with him. So the manner in which they fired Mac is completely irrelevant to what's unfolding here. In failing to acknowledge the above, you left out the option for the most likely explanation: D. Kelly is a meticulous and experienced coach with a holistic view of running a football program. He wants to be absolutely certain that he'll be in a position to implement his system, so he has tendered a long list of demands to the UAA -- allegedly including assistant coaching candidates, facility access/enhancements, public appearance requirements, etc. This list of demands is taking some time to work through, and the UAA would not rush given its reputation for thoroughness and emphasis on compliance.
I don’t buy that players distraction business too, the longer this drags on, the less likely Chip Kelly will be the next coach.
Good morning, Gator Nation! Here we are at 515 still wondering Who's Next at Head Coach of the Florida Gators?
This defense is very young, especially in the secondary and lbs are thin. This defenseive talent will look pretty good in coming year imo.
T he future is priority one but beating fsu is always important but don't kid yourself as you start to jump up and down, the kids will too
Frost would be a good choice but he's going to a bowl game meaning that the early signing date would pass and would possibly make us lose a few recruits. Hopefully Stricklin has a plan to sign a coach early enough to salvage this class and maybe improve it. Hopefully an announcement will come soon.
