Can they name CK the coach immediately after the FSU game so he can meet with the recruits on Sunday before they go home?
So if they wait until after fsu to announce that must mean they just dont want to "step on Shannon's toes" for a better word?
I heard really positive news as well earlier today but I cannot give details just that the new thread title is correct. I have given tons of details so just for now respect that I cannot divulge. Now on timing I am very uncertain. What I do feel is a 98.5% confidence level that Kelly will be announced sometime between Nov 19th and November 27th (after FSU). I only have the 1.5% chance of no Kelly because of what we saw with Donovan to the Magic. At what time tilly can we get back to the great pictures? I support you if we don't do anymore but is it fine once we get past kids bedtimes? I am with you btw as I think my 10 year old son saw one of the pics today on my computer. Just mentioning that Kelly will be our coach unless something crazy happens. Donovan accepting the Magic job and then coming back was very unusual. I feel like it would take a very unusual thing to happen for Kelly to not be our coach from everything my inputs and sources are saying. Nothing is for certain just like Alabama's chances for winning today against Mercer was not 100% it was just below that according to FPI.

Let’s take step back from the insider sources and take a common sense look at this Chip Kelly to UF rumor. Something I wish Tennessee fans would do about Gruden. It makes no sense for UF to hold back this announcement (especially over something like assistant coach salaries). If Kelly is going to be hired he needs to be hired by Monday. This would give the recruits on campus next weekend a chance to meet Chip and experience a game. So what’s delaying the announcement. A. Chip Kelly is not the coach and this is a smoke screen by Stricklin. This doesn’t make any sense because any other coach will be seen as a let down at this point. B. Chip Kelly is not the coach and he is trying to force another schools hand (for example UCLA to fire Jim Mora). C. They are still haggling over contract details. Keep in mind the UAA didn’t haggle with MAC over his buyout. They fired him and told him they would work out the details later. I tend to believe that if Chip was going to be the hire they would do the same here. This situation reminds me a lot like the South Carolina and LSU job openings. South Carolina thought they had a done deal with Kirby Smart but that was intended to get Mark Richt fired. And LSU thought they had a done deal with Tom Herman but that was to get Charlie Strong fired. The more I think about it I just don’t think he is going to be our coach. It doesn’t seam like he would want to coach in the SEC and he doesn’t seam like the kind of team player the UAA is looking for. So the common sense thing here leads me to believe that all the insiders in the UAA and bull gators think Chip is going to be our next coach but he has no intention of being our coach

True enough. But there’s some great stuff on newer Dickinson discs too. Brave Nee World, Final Frontier and Book of Souls all get pretty frequent play here. But that classic era in the 80s is definitely their strongest.
Coach Kelly reached out to us, so we know he’s definitely interested. The fact that Scotty staples hasn’t squashed this massive rumor, is pretty telling. There’s waaaaay too much smoke for this to not to be the case. A multitude of sources have all said this is happening. And not just the twitter verse. Very reliable ppl have said this. If it doesn’t happen, it won’t be because we didn’t try. We’ll see soon enough.
This doesn't remotely add up to me. Texas wasn't going to keep Charlie Strong if Herman went to LSU. Georgia wasn't keeping Richt if Smart went to SC. This sort of posturing isn't needed. If UCLA is done with Mora, they'll fire him. If they're not, they won't. What Chip does or doesn't do won't affect that. As for Chip not wanting to coach in the SEC, I'm not sure how you came to that conclusion. Chip is an egotistical guy. He wanted to succeed in the NFL because it's the highest level of football. My bet is that now that he's returning to college, he wants to succeed in the SEC because it's considered the highest level of college football.
I haven't had a chance to post this until now, but source was asked for update earlier tonight and they said it's going to be Chip Kelly; going to get done. FWIW.
