I ask again, sorry if anyone answered when I asked before and I missed it: Isn't Chip Kelly a paid NCAA analyst for ESPN? That's supposed to be his occupation at this point in time, right? So, is he working this weekend or what?? Anybody know?
I know it’s going to happen I just find the timing odd - Nebraska hasn’t officially fired their own coach and they’re going for another team’s coach?
DieAGator, I think I have posted my full explanation of this and have kids responsibilities today so cannot retype it all. Easiest way to understand my point is to look at the history of the OK program for 100 years. OK has always been dependent on the top tier talent (4 and 5 star recruits) from TX. The emergence of those teams changed how many 4 and 5 star recruits OK was getting from TX in Stoops' last 8 years. Just look back at how many top tier TX recruits OK got in the 4 years prior to A &M to SEC and then look at the number since A & M to SEC and you will see what I am talking about. I did analysis about this (prior to Mac being hired) and I think if you google it there might be some articles about this. Remember it is not just A&M to SEC and is TCU, and Baylor as well. The combination of all 3 of those things has changed the job at OK forever IMO. Understand now what I am saying?
I’m watching the Memphis/SMU game just in case the Kelly deal falls through. Norvell is #2 on my wish list.
Kelly is going to happen guys, I’m 99.5% positive. When Harbaugh was rumored to Michigan, it took almost two weeks to get the deal done due to contract lingo and other things that needed to be resolved, but it got done. Kelly is coming here, relax and enjoy your Saturday.
