Okay, boys....my kids are in bed. My turn-meds & sleep. Good night, fellow Gators. I'd say behave but who am I kidding?
I just caught up after being away for a few hours. Gatorbait42 killed the momentum of this thread with Doug Nussmeier-like efficiency. Thanks again to BTG and Tilly for the thread and the rest of you for making it a joy. I’ve been on GC for years, not even sure how long now - early 2000s at least. I’ve posted more in the last 4 days then i usually do in a year. Good times!
If this proves to be true, it's actually good news for UF. Makes the pursuit of Chip even more vital and Frosty does not land in the SEC or Tally.
Hey everyone......been a long day for me and I have more to do in the morning (work-related) so probably won't be on the forum much at least until closer to game time, but wanted to say how sorry I am that so far we haven't heard anything. What I posted last night was legit but as I said in a latter post, nothing can be certain until it really does happen. I think everyone here knows the score when it comes to stuff like this. I haven't heard anything other than what I posted last night so let's keep our fingers, toes, and paws all crossed and hope for the best. And if it doesn't come to fruition then it was probably not meant to be. I trust in Scott Stricklin to make a wise decision and so should everyone here. My focus for the next 24 hours will be for our team and the game tomorrow. The rest will take care of itself, I figure. Have a GREAT night and keep the faith......Florida is an amazing school and whoever ends up here as our coach will be damn lucky! Cheers brother and sister Gators....have a superb evening!
Sorry, I didn't see it. Not off the top of my head. The real estate lawyers I know are in South Florida and Tampa. I'm currently living and practicing out of state, so I'm not that tapped into the Florida legal scene right now.
I hear over and over that Chip Kelly doesn't like to recruit. So assuming he's the new hire (and that is still a big assumption) who's gonna keep the class together? Would the very hiring of Kelly solidify the class? We had a top ten class going (maybe top five). I would hate to lose that.
The Chipper may not like to recruit, but he was good at it when he was with Oregon. Plus, he now has the NFL on his resume. I expect Chip will bring in assistants who specialize in recruiting to let him do what he does best. Still, if we land him, I see him it being more positive for our recruiting than negative. He brings legitimacy, excitement, and a brand that we simply don't have right now.
***Hey guys. We have been pretty lenient in this thread, but the rules still apply. No name calling and the language rules still apply. Thanks guys. ***
Not liking it (who really could?), and not being able to do it are different things. Assistant hires and UF's location mitigate much of it anyway. No worries, bro. All good.
