Only problem is that unless he's got one of (apparently) a very few guys in the room as a source, there is no way he'd how far anyone is or is not. Sounds like the typical talking-head, that is tangentially tied to the broader topic, feeling as they need to weigh in with some vague statement that could be argued as right either way after the fact.
The two clubs I frequented in Gville while in college were Central City and the Florida Theatre. The former for their contests every Thursday night. I think they got shut down in 1990-91 for underage drinking...which was also why I went there. Then they opened up Fl Theatre and Old Wave night on....Tuesdays? in 92-93 I think. I loved that place.
Oh geez....I want to say if you walked all the way up there was a hallway to a smaller area where the bathrooms were...then a second one that originally went to storage that later on was opened up to connect with some other bar. So before it was opened up.
Liked it a lot...favorite was Club 5 in Jacksonville. It was...um...wild. Live show every Friday or Saturday...forget which.
Maybe it’s his staff. Gonna take more than 15 minutes or so. IIRC it was a member of his staff who screwed the pooch w the NCAA at Oregon.
I've been driving all day and I'm about to pull into hunting camp... I'm going to have to check out what @icequeen has been posting..
I come to you guys with news reiterating my original post on the 10th (above). Quickest, best update I can give without giving details is it's happening, the process is taking place. Still. Which is a GOOD THING, both sides are at work to get this thing done. Old guys within the Gator Nation (and some of the old guard) don't like some of the things being asked for, but like Finebaum said today "the old guard is the old guard for a reason, you have to let the new guard do what they were brought in to do." Scottie Too Hottie is going to get his guy in there. Tonight looks unlikely to say the least, it's at the part of the process where things will prob start leaking soon as we're getting to the finish line. My more current end of the week timeline looks like a no go, but for good reason. As I said yesterday NO NEWS is GOOD NEWS (Again, UAA isn't giving the media ANYTHING.) What this guy wants to do at UF is well worth the wait.
Yes...BUT... What exactly did he say? That it could fall through. Wow...way to stick his neck out. Nothing is ever a done deal until the ink is dry. Even then a deal could fall through. So he didn't say anything that wasn't possible to begin with...and unless he's personally part of whatever is happening and IN that room, it's just speculation by someone trying to stay relevant while the State of Tennessee gathers money and livestock with which to purchase the services of a voodoo priestess to get Gruden to Tenn.
