You guys are too much. Anyways...I'm no expert in this stuff but especially if these are people CK knows or really wants on there's nothing stopping unofficial "feelers" and then talking to CK about general numbers. If they're not even in the ballpark that'd be important. How does any TV contract CK has play into this? Does UF have to deal with a buyout-type situation?
Does anyone not believe Scotty ventured off somewhere in the last day and a half? He hasn't been seen or heard from since Wed. Didn't attend the men's BB game last night, not his norm. No way was he going to hire Chip without first sitting down for a lengthy chat with him and seeing for himself if he's really the guy.
Si es Cubano, como pretende, no hay problema--nos entendemos. Los Cubanos nos hablamos fuerte entre uno y otro.
I cant believe @Skink has out posted me. He was pounding beers at 10 am at the bar yesterday and I was focused. #MyPostGameisWeak And @ApexNC and @g_gordon_gator had the benefit of airline obsession. Damn....
Yes in Spain, and many other Lat. Am. countries, not so in Cuban Spanish. It's very cavalierly thrown around. (My apologies to non-Cuban sensibilities...).
Interesting point on whether he has a buyout clause with ESPN. There were rumors that ESPN is conducting mass layoffs after Thanksgiving. Don't know if CK is on their chopping block, but I wonder if we are waiting until after those layoffs to avoid paying that buyout. It would depend on the size of the buyout, but if you don't know who's getting the axe, and the amount is insignificant, I don't see why we would wait. Holding and building on a top recruiting class and taking advantage of the early signing period is way more important if CK wants to hit the ground running.
Right. This might also give UF a little more leverage in offering maybe part of his possible buyout to get him to sign now versus waiting to see if he gets the axe or not.
