I would take that with a grain of salt. That sounds like ridiculous speculation to me. If Chip hires assistants because of what they bring to the table for new ideas, why would he not want to tap into the HBC for ideas?

The comment about "legendary coaches" not sticking their beak in does not appear to be a great way to start off. I realize Chip Kelly has had success in his own right, and does not necessitate advice from other coaches, but just seems to be a little off-putting to put it out there. Hopefully, if we get Chip, they bury the rumored hatchet, and Steve and Chip get along.
