Guessing that if we do not hear anything this weekend, then AD Sam Shade will wait until after Thanksgiving and the end of the season.

 

Woke up this morning, first thoughts weren't about my wife, kids or work, it was I gotta get on GC. And I don't feel bad about it. Sadly I had work to do before now.

Glad to see everyone picked up the ball and ran with it this morning, gonna break 500 today!

 

I had a dream last night...

Chip Kelly meets Saban in the SEC CG. Yes, it’s the return of the UF-Bama slugfest. But this time UF brought some offense! Alas, the Bama machine proves too much for our rebuilding Gators. But since we only have 1 loss and the game was so entertaining UF makes the playoff as a 3 seed and promptly crushes Urban Meyer’s Buckeyes to get to the NC game. Bama of course beats the 4 seed (side note: it’s not F$U because they have slid into irrelevancy and decided to disband their football team) and it’s a rematch of the SEC Championship (hey, it’s happened before). The Gators win 52-20 and bring home another natty.

I had heard/read something like that too but don’t remember specifics.

Things I KNOW-
UF is in a huge financial drive. They email and call me all the time lately. I’m a “lifetime” alumni association member (so like 10 years ago I spent $600 broken up over 3 years rather than $50 per year) and am also a 15 year football booster (low $$$ tho - really just enough to get tickets). So I’m on the “list” of people to harass for money. Barking up the wrong tree - because I’m just a middle class dude with 3 kids!

Exciting and winning football will bring the $$$ in. See Alabama the last decade. Scotty Stockbroker knows this!! He is likely very motivated to get this right - it is a career defining hire for him.

 

We have compliance staff to make sure our program does not run amok of the ncaa and I would assume there is verbage in the contract about ncaa compliance etc etc etc. Mr Rogers is not available

 

The smaller ones stand the test of time and gravity better.
