I think he can keep him. He worked with pro style QB's just fine in Philly. His offense more needs the quick, elusive back to make the cuts a the line and down field blocking receivers.

He would be better to go after Fields of course though. That is a generational player there, and perfect for his offense. He could def use Corral if he can use butt fumble. In the end. His inside zone read and outside zone read are going to be harder to counter with a dangerous threat in the pocket. So can he win with Corral? Yes. Will his offense be at it's best? Maybe not. Thomas never ran that much in the Oregon offense and he did pretty darn well with him as well.

No clue. But I do know he had Florida interest before. If we hire Chip...no way he doesn't give it serious thought. He is a back up at Georgia most likely behind Fromm for another two years. So I think we should take a shot for him, unless that would push Corral away. Would much prefer keep Corral, then risk it and get neither.

Corral is going to be a special quarterback, when it’s all said and done. I think Fields would also probably kill it under Kelly. Gotta keep the full court press on Corral, if you ask me. He’s the best of both worlds and has been very loyal to us. Even recruiting for us, too. Exciting times again! Please please hire Chip, Scott stickler. Man I’m so jacked right now.

How would Franks do in a Chip mold? I realize Corral is coming.

    Significantly better.

Chip's offense is great in it's simplicity. Franks also has the ability to run. Nuss and Mac ran a very complex scheme few Qb's can grasp at this level. Really only Del Rio got it. Grier still struggled with it before the incident.

I honestly think Toney is the QB to run it year one. Focus him at QB this offseason. He makes very good option reads. He is a smart kid. He is incredibly dangerous with the ball. He was a Qb so has the basic ideas. Toney with Davis in the backfield....my God. Defenses would shit their pants.

I think you’re reaching. Not just any quarterback is going to flourish in his system. They might win a decent amount, and rack up rushing stats, but in the end, you still need a good passer. Marriottoa was no backup like Toney is. Hell he’s not even second or third. Could he be developed, probably. But do we want to wait and see? I’d rather take the lumps with Corrall, personally. He is a future NFL quarterback in the making.
