I knew Chip, I knew he was headstrong, difficult, loved scoring lots of points. So when he got turned in to NCAA ... I let it go. And I said to myself, this is the business we've chosen. I didn't ask who turned him in ... because it had nothing to do with business. There's a contract for 6 years, $26m in a folder on the plane. I'm going in and take a nap. When I wake, if the contract is signed, I'll know we have a coach. If it isn't, we'll know we don't.
Gonna be an epic half-time show at tonight's basketball game, or not. IDK Maybe I'm right, maybe I'm wrong.
The past few days have gone from exciting to super stressful. From wow, we might actually get him to a fear of loss. From everything that has been said or tweeted it seems like there are three possible explanations to where we are at: We are considering Chip but haven't made up our minds to go after him yes The deal is "done", which apparently really means that we are negotiating and working on contract details We want Chip but he hasn't decided that he wants to be a Gator yet If #1 is true, Stricklin (sp) needs to either hurry up and pull the trigger or decide to go in a different direction and make an announcement. If #2 is true, we need to hurry the **** up before UCLA or someone else comes and gets him. If #3 is true, well then we just have to wait (but really we should make sure he can't refuse like Bama did with Saban) and see. Maybe #3 is actually where we are at? But Stricklin's (sp) trolling tweets seem to indicate a level of confidence which imply that that is not the case.
Nah, Common misnomer but Too Hot is primarily politics. Only politics here is when Scoot Straplane is gonna announce that things are getting Chippy.
