That's my thought too. I would assume both parties have a pretty good idea who might be an issue and I find it had to imagine Kelly would demand any of the guilty parties be on his staff, or even wanting to work with those guilty parties anymore for that matter. Sounds to me like this is just a matter of due diligence and that any parties not cleared would be eliminated.

Sounds reasonable. They might be looking for the best PR timing for the announcement in addition to actually wrapping up details. Starting took look like early Saturday might be the biggest exposure to drop the announcement officially. Friday p.m. is usually a wasteland.
I think this makes a lot of sense. If true, i wonder how long said vetting would take.....i wouldn't think too long. I keep going back to if Chip is the guy this should get done fairly quickly to help with recruiting, the longer it goes the less confident I am that Chip will be the guy. This kind of thinking gives me renewed hope.
