Maybe this whole thread is a smokescreen with fake accounts by Kelly's reps to whip up this forum into a fervor and drive up Kelly's asking price. Or, they are probably working out the finer points of any deal through their reps...whatever you think is more believable. I mentioned this about a hundred pages ago, but I'm hoping the delay is due to the finer points of how the payments would be structured to maximize the payments owed to Kelly by SF and Philly. I read that both SF and Philly are arguing over how much each of them owe Kelly, so hopefully we can structure a deal to take full advantage for the mutual benefit of UF and Kelly.
Long time lurker...first time poster. The Chip-Frost-Strokeland drama sucked me in! I'm risking unemployment and lonely nights on the couch (can't stop checking the phone for updates while eating dinner with the wife) with the rest Gator Nation. I want to thank Tilly, BenTrill and others who've tried to keep us updated. I've gone from Frost at all costs, to Chip or Bust, to dear God please let it end soon. When I step away from the internet for a few minutes and breath deep, I come to my senses for about five minutes and then head back for more F5 anticipointment. In the absence of actual news, I especially want to thank the kind people here who've shared plenty of lovely lady pix here. They're keeping my spirit elevated. We'll know sooner or later, Gators. Hang in there. We got rid of McDeathThreat, that was step one to a better future. Step two will come soon. Mike White and his boys will give us plenty to smile about until the big announcement. Disagree completely! If you choose not to believe the "insider" information people have given here, then go ahead and drive yourself crazy thinking of all the ways this can go wrong. But what I think is going is that the verbal agreement has been done for a few days and it's just been the typical contract revisions going back and forth that's been the hold up. But if that's the case, the basic terms and salary have been done and it would make no sense Kelly's lawyers to play games. What I believe is going on is Stricklin is playing some pretty sophisticated mind games with the media to build up to make this a HUGE announcement ... whenever it happens! He's pretty clearly put a very tight gag order on anybody involved with or around negotiations, which is why there's not much being reported the past few days. But there seems to be some more mainstream reporting suggesting this may be happening, so the best way to get them to back of reporting anything is to create serious doubt with misinformation. That's just my opinion.

No doubt the UF job is better. It is criminal though that UCLA never became a jugernaut in football regardless of how good USC may have been at the time. UF, FSU, and Miami have all been big time at the same time, and UCLA has a great overall athletic program in a desirable locale for players (not necessarily the school's neighborhood, but more broadly L.A.
