I’ll need to double down on blood pressure meds if this thread reaches 321 pages - that being Kenjon Barners single game rushing record for Chip Kelly’s 2012 Oregon Ducks vs Southern Cal.
Actually would be a great day to announce. They would talk about us on College football playoff show. We get us lots of traction. Announce via email thia afternoon, presser tomorrow or thursday for weekend traction. Remember Stricklin use to be sports information director, so he understands the inportants of info.
Maybe they would drop the news today because I assume all the shows / pundents discussing the new playoff rankings coming out tonight would also discuss this if it was announced just prior.
I've been wondering what kind of runners fit his O, since I don't know that much about it other than it's a spread. How well do recruits Dameon Pearce and Iverson Clements fit? (Not that I know much about them either.)
That's a great idea! Hope Strepthroat has the t's crossed and i's dotted so we can have our own TV time tonight!!!
My ex-roommate's favorite uncle's bartender said that she saw Chip Kelly having dinner at Red Lobster last night, and he ordered the Orange Roughy, and a salad with Bleu cheese dressing. It's definitely happening.
Honestly the benefit of Kelly is that the focus is on blocking, misdirection and strategic setup as the game progresses. With all of that in place you need skill players that are fast and trust their blocks, and there are plenty of guys that fit that mold. Oregon was usually deficient in talent compared to elite programs but they kept others off balance and confused because of their play calling, speed and discipline. The coordination and trust that takes is leaps and bounds from where we are now. We start out the game with a false start. We take 25 seconds to setup a play with less than a minute before the end of halves, if we’re able to run a play at all. Illegal formations, delay of game, you name the procedural penalty and we’re getting it. That is complete lack of discipline and focus. And it’s probably going to take 2 seasons to get to something resembling Oregon if C.K. is our guy.
Diverse. He had small, fast, and shifty like De'Anthony Thomas, big and powerful like LeGarrette Blount or Jonathan Stewart, and balanced guys like LaMichael James and Kenjon Barner.
Where in the world is @ltraz hanging out? Did the dude check out on us? We could use a little high-end negativity around here right about now - balance out all this giddyness (if that’s a word)
