    Why would u ever want chavis? His defense was responsible for the 30 pt Aggie collapse this yr vs UCLA. His hiring hasn't helped Sumlin at all. Another one of those guys that somehow keeps getting sec jobs. LSU upgraded when he left and they hired Arranda.

    This is actually correct. The Gator side has been silent. The leaks are from the Kelly side. Not sure where I read it, but that’s the word.

    I don’t think Stricklin cared to keep that under wraps the way he’s doing w the coaching search. Letting the cat outta bag on canning Mac was not a priority. Basing that on his comment “it came down to more than wins and losses - I’ll just leave it at that...”

    Yea, you're taking it too far now. Your explanation makes just as much sense as mine. Both are valid options. Regardless, there's too much smoke right now. I expect Chip is our guy.
