Foley doesn't have the power to "veto" anything. Now maybe he can influence people's opinions, but he can't stop a hire directly.

The hype around this has escalated so much that, if it's NOT happening, then SS should probably do something more to quell all of us peasants or the ultimate decision may be so anti-climatic (if not CK) that the thrill is lost on many. Careful balance in the midst of negotiations among multiple parties. SS can't say what he'd like publicly. He's gotta position us in the negotiations. I suspect its those multiple agents jockying for leverage (and a commission) who are the source for much of the spontaneous combustion of this roaring fire (which may be why much of the fuel comes from un-attributable social media with little to hard data).
