I'm worried about Kelly's personality (or lack thereof) and also his dislike for recruiting. If we do hire him, I hope that when he's talking to some recruit in his home, he doesn't tell the kid's mother, "Hey, will you shut up?"
If she won't let him get a word in edgewise because she wants the kid to go to FSU or Miami, I hope he does!
And he did turn them around. The point is, he had to start over every time he went to a new school. Do you think his record would be the same if he were at WKU or USF for all 8 years?
OK I get it - the Bleacher Report article I linked was a repeat of information from Yahoo posted last evening....sheesh....things are getting out of hand with this Chip Kelly stuff!!!
If it is Chip, I'm hoping the contract is negotiated to have SF continue to pay Chip's salary for the next two years and back load the contract so the first years we are able to shell out for top tier coordinators and position coaches who can develop guys and recruit. Hope we not doing SF any favors by reducing what they would otherwise pay.

This thread isn’t going to get to 72 pages on its own. 72 pages means press conference is scheduled! I step away from my phone for like 10 minutes and 3 pages were added. I’m so proud of us.
FWIW, I'm hearing Stricklin and the administration wanted to announce today but couldn't get it done in time. Should be tomorrow or Wednesday. Also, UAA had interest in Norvell but the administration has become frustrated dealing with Jimmy Sexton (Norvell's agent), and it looks like that boat may have sailed for good.
If recruits have been informed, I am surprised this isn't completely wide spread at this point. No way they can keep that a secret.
This makes sense. Because you know if you want to keep something hush hush you tell a high school kid.
