Want to get a group together, Wing? Lots of places to have a cold one over here. BTW, I live on the other side of Mayport Rd. from ABCC. I live in the poor part of Atlantic Beach and I don't have the monetary resources or socio-political clout to get into Atlantic Beach CC. It's the old Selva Marina Club that's been redone. I've seen a couple of holes on the course but I can't relate them to the old course because I haven't played there in about 45 years.
You don't spend very critical time at this juncture of this search "vetting" a guy who doesn't want the job. So, if this is true (the so called vetting), the Chipster has likely let it be known to someone he wants the gig. That is great news!
Paparazzi just caught this candid photo of CK outside the Lowe's off of Archer Road, where he was buying housewares. But I still think it's a little too early to start getting excited.
I suppose I understand an agent sticking up for his clients, but in this case, one flew off the cuckoo's nest. Hard to justify playing hardball (and possibly harming financially) with regards to other clients. But hey, if we get Chip, screw Sexton and the high horse he rides in on.
Seriously. That process is not free, that's for sure. No interest = no vetting. Which as we all learned in algebra means vetting = interest. Or at least that's what I learned in algebra, but then again I got a C.
I've been hinting at the fact Frost doesn't really want to come to UF, but some of us are so stuck on us being UF we can't fathom it. He either stays at UCF or goes to Nebraska. Frost is really feeling himself and is hell bent on proving himself in a situation that people deem improbable. Coming to UF and succeeding doesn't feel like a challenge to him, making UCF a "powerhouse" is, reviving Nebraska is. He's played hardball with UF the whole time. I mentioned at the onset that he and Taggart were 1a and 1b and that was the case. Until, Chip reached out WANTING to be our coach. Tag wanted to be our coach bad also, but some things got out a bit too early and neither side wanted to appear "slimey" if that makes sense. Once Chip reached out it became a no brainer really. You want a guy who WANTS to be on our sideline - not a guy you have to chase. And when that guy just happens to be one of, if not the most innovative offensive mind in CFB history - you make it happen. Even if he doesn't like to do dishes or fold laundry.
Timeframe update (which is no different from my original timeframe of maybe today, definitely this week): In the next 48 hrs Chip Kelly will be announced. No, I don't know exact day. I will tell you when I know. Come on with it naysayers and doubters.
Can you stop with the silliness please? This is a serious thread. Anyway, everybody knows they drive a car.
This could be a great drinking game. For every additional page this thread goes everyone take a drink. When you wake up from passing out we would probably have a new coach.
Recruiting MONSTER. Staff full of recruiting monsters. Runs the type of offense we want. Has turned 2 abysmal programs into winning programs. Homegrown product. WANTS to be our coach,
