My guess is that first time NFL head coaches that are also GM's usually don't do well. Making the jump to the NFL and then juggling all the roster moves and contracts is a handful for these guys and the more experienced coaches who have been in the league for a long time do much better. Kelly made a lot of roster moves at Philly trying to fit his system and it didn't work. Like Saban and SOS some guys are just better suited for the college game. Hopefully he would be our Saban and make it work and stay a long time.
Christmas is coming early to Gainesville! Coach Kelly will score points; if Helfrich came back as the OC we will be kicking a$$ and taking names next season. Got to hand it to Stricklin for going all in on the best possible candidate and not letting a show cause get in the way. Foley would have blown it, the 1980’s probation did have quite an effect on our process for a while. Another kudos for keeping our recruiting class together. Only one decommit compared to four in 12 hours for Tennessee. Kelly is going to bring in even more commits once he rolls in. Seriously, think about a high school kid being told by an NFL coach he wants you. Sorry, but that’s what Saban had early on at Bama that gave him fast success that he used to build a beast of a program. In terms of how big this is, it’s a freaking walk-off grand slam! Go Gators and you better get your season tickets while you still can.
It's only been 2 weeks and we're talking about hundreds of millions of dollars at stake. SEC vetting would be a thing in this case. There are plenty of legitimate reasons for it to take two weeks, c'mon man.

How bad has this season been? I stopped buying Crown and started buying Rich and Rare (less than half the price). Come on Chip.... sign the paper!
When it doesn’t happen tomorrow or the next day or next day, remember me. Kerwin bell has a greater chance right now.
